Let me tell you a true story…. at one time in my life, I was taller than Julie King. True story…. Just ask my parents. She is my younger sister’s age and was a consistent playmate of ours through our childhood along with her older brother who was my age. The four of us, we built forts together, collected “gold” from our long walks in the fields behind our neighborhood, played soccer, and watched Bill Nye the Science Guy if all our homework was done.
Since then though, she’s grown up, gone to UC Davis on a volleyball scholarship, gotten a fancy degree, and met the man of her dreams! What a girl! To be asked to photograph their wedding is seriously such an honor and I couldn’t be more stoked to play this small role on their special day.
In meeting Tyler for the first time on their engagement shoot, I noticed how excited he was to take part in something that was important to Julie. I noticed how he smiled bigger when he saw she was happy, and how he made her laugh. As a pseudo-big sister, I felt reassured and proud to know Julie had found such an amazing man to spend the rest of her life with. Happy tears!!
