Andrew and Erin

I spoke with a very proud mom several times over email before I met her son, Andrew, and his fiance, Erin. All the way from the east coast, I could feel the excitement oozing from Mrs. Meeks’s words as we set plans to shoot engagement photos for them in Santa Monica. When I finally met these two, they were nothing short of PERFECT. Seriously, Erin is sweeter than southern tea and Andrew’s smile puts the November sun to shame, it’s so bright and warm. Both Andrew and Erin are brilliant doctors in their 2nd year of residency at USC Medical center… impressive, no? It was really interesting hearing about the lives of two people who continued past where I left off in college… and how much they love what they do! We didn’t just talk though… we did quite a bit of shooting and exploring around Santa Monica as well. Here’s a few from the afternoon…

These guys are the best looking doctors I’ve ever seen! And I’m pretty sure both Erin and Andrew could have quite a successful career in modeling as well…

These shots were really fun because it looks as though we’re on an island somewhere and not in a neighborhood in Santa Monica. Love them!

From there, we ended the afternoon on the beach overlooking the famous pier… and, even though I’m not a huge fan of beach engagement photos, these were my favorites from the whole shoot!

It turned out to be a beautifully warm November afternoon… much unlike the cold and rainy weather we’ve had the past week… and we were so grateful. We got to explore, play on the beach, and walk through the low tide at sunset with practically no one around! Such a great day!

Andrew and Erin, congratulations on your engagement. I hope you had a blast… I know I did. When I grow up, I definitely want to be like you! Thanks for sharing this chapter in your lives with me.
